"The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul." Alfred Austin
Sheldon Farms is pleased to announce the Healing Garden Project. The Healing Garden will addresses the healthy eating challenges that many of our local Lowcountry underserved communities face. Our mission is to support youth and adults on their journey of gaining access to a healthier lifestyle through gardening. Our informative and engaging hands-on workshops, lectures, programs, partnerships, and volunteer opportunities are designed to inspire youth and adults to not only grow their own food but understand and enjoy the benefits of eating healthy fresh local grown foods. Our Healing Garden is designed as a teaching platform to empower our community to become champions of change and to take a holistic approach towards healing and wellness.
*Please note we this is a past project and Sheldon Farms is not currently planning any projects or programs at this time.
